The CFIA reported that more poppy seeds were recalled due to Salmonella

The CFIA reported that more companies recalled poppy seeds due to Salmonella. The recalling companies are Dutch House Farms, Oak Manor Farms, Wahu Foods Inc., Penny’s Pantry, St. Ambrose Honey, The Granary Inc., Sugar Ridge Inc., and Natural Food Pantry. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Alpine Fresh recalls “Hippie Organics French Beans” due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Alpine Fresh, Inc.(Doral, Florida)  recalled 1 pound packages of “Hippie Organics” French Beans from lot# 313-626, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled “Hippie Organics 1lbs French Beans” were distributed in Whole Foods (CT, FL, GA, IL, and MD), Aldi (FL), and LIDL (DE, GA, MD, NJ, NY, NC, PA, SC, and VA) retail stores. Currently, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this problem. The potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by the company revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in 1 pound packages of “Hippie Organics French Beans” from lot # 313-626.” The problem was isolated to the identified lot. Soul Cedar Farm Recalls Zesty Sweet Peppers due to potential Botulism contamination

The Washington State Department of Health announced that Soul Cedar Farm(Quilcene, Washington) recalled all batches of shelf-stable Zesty Sweet Peppers because they could be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin. As of April 19, 2022, there are no reports of illness associated with this product’s consumption. The recall was started after routine sampling conducted by the Washington State Department of Agriculture found that one batch of the Soul Cedar Farm Zesty Sweet Peppers had a pH level that was high enough to support the formulation of the botulism toxin. World Variety Produce recalls organic zucchini due to Salmonella

The FDA reported that World Variety Produce, Inc.( Los Angeles, CA) recalled  Organic Zucchini because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Organic Marketside Zucchini were distributed through select Walmart retail stores in Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
