Michigan residents are urged by MDHHS and MDARD to monitor for E. coli as an increase in cases are investigated in three counties

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), and three local health departments – Kent, Ottawa, and Oakland – are investigating a recent increase in the number of illnesses related to E. coli. MDHHS had received 98 cases of E. coli infection reports in August, compared to 20 cases reported during the same time in 2021. Laboratory results have linked some of these cases to each other.  @ https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/inside-mdhhs/newsroom/2022/08/16/e-coli#:~:text=MDHHS%20had%20received%20reports%20of,these%20cases%20to%20each%20other
