World Green Nutrition recalled ELV Alipotec Brand Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces due to Yellow Oleander

January 12, 2024- According to the FDA, World Green Nutrition, Inc. (San Antonio, Texas) recalled Elv Alipotec branded Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces (Raiz De Tejocote Mexicano Suplemento En Trozos) from the American marketplace due to suspected Yellow Oleander. The consumption of yellow oleander can cause adverse effects on neurological, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular health that can be serious or even fatal. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, heart changes, arrhythmia, etc. The product has a NET. WT, 0.3 0Z (7g) was sold through authorized distributors in white polyethylene plastic bottles with a green polypropylene plastic lid wrapped with heat-shrinkable PET-G plastic. The product was sold in all states.
