Whole Foods Market recalls 43 products including Select Salsas, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and Prepared Foods products due to Salmonella

Whole Foods Market recalled 43 select products from its Produce and Prepared Foods departments that contain jalapeños sourced from Coast Citrus Distributors due to potential Salmonella contamination.  The new recall affects 43 items, ranging from dips, salsas, and guacamoles to jalapeño-spiced meat products, at Whole Foods locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, and Ohio, the FDA reported. The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to fresh jalapeños supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors. A grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, that supplies to Coast Citrus Distributors was identified as the potential source in this outbreak FDA is currently investigating. The recalled products were sold online and, in the Produce and Prepared Foods departments in the following states: TX, OK, LA, AR, WI, MI, IL, IN, IA, MO, KY, and OH, with Best Before/By dates of 8/7/2026 – 8/16/2026. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products.
