Weeks update of CORE outbreak investigation table

The FDA reported the updates for this week. Most of the sources of the outbreaks are not yet identified. A new investigation of adverse event series associated with Daily Harvest frozen French Lentil + Leek Crumbles was initiated. The recall came after consumer complaints. A recall has been issued, and the FDA has initiated traceback, inspections, and sample collection. The case count for the outbreak of Salmonella Braenderup has increased from 40 to 42. However, the source of the problem is not yet identified. The case count for the outbreak of Salmonella Paratyphi B var. L(+) tartrate+ in a not yet identified product has increased from 13 to 14. The outbreak status for the E. coli O157:H7 outbreak has ended, while the source was not identified. The investigation status remains active.
