The ripple effect: HelloFresh and Green Giant recalls products containing onions due to Salmonella

The FDA reported that its ingredient suppliers informed HelloFresh that it is conducting a voluntary recall of its onions due to the potential presence of Salmonella. The new Salmonella outbreak seems similar to the outbreak of Salmonella in onion in the spring of 2020. The recall of ProSource onions also caused the recall of Potandon Produce LLC (Idaho Falls, Idaho), of Green Giant Fresh onions (white and red), delivered directly to three UNFI retail distribution centers in Fargo, North Dakota; Bismarck, North Dakota, and Hopkins, Minnesota between July 9 and Aug 6, 2021. @ https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/hellofresh-issues-recall-notice-products-containing-onions-due-possible-health-risk
