South Island brand Pesto recalled due to potential presence of Clostridium Botulinum

According to the CFIA, Victoria Community Food Hub Society (Victoria, British Columbia) recalled South Island branded Pesto from the Canadian marketplace because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The South Island branded Pesto Sauce was sold in 250 mL clear glass jars with black plastic tops and thought to be distributed on or about October 6, 17, and 26, 2023, at private functions and food fair shows in Victoria and Esquimalt, British Columbia. The company triggered this recall.
