Radagast Pet Food, Inc. of Portland, OR recalled one lot of Free-Range Chicken and one lot of Free-Range Turkey Recipe due to Listeria monocytogenes. No pet or human illnesses have been reported. A single lot of Rad Cat Raw Diet Free-Range Chicken Best by Date: 10/19/18, was shipped to distributors in May 2017 in CA, MN, OH, OR, PA, and RI. Two tabs of the product tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes in random government testing according to FDA and the Ohio Department of Agriculture. All samples tested negative for E. Radagast Pet Food, Inc. of Portland, OR is recalling one lot of Free-Range Chicken and one lot of Free-Range Turkey Recipe because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.
