In Canada, Aladdin Foods recalled Lean Ground Beef due to E. coli O103

The CFIA reported that Aladdin Foods recalled Lean Ground Beef due to E. coli O103. The recall was initiated following test results that identified the E. coli O103 in the product. The product was sold at Aladdin’s Food ( 9A-611 Wonderland Rd. N, London, Ontario)  and is limited to distribution within Ontario, Canada at the retail level. The recalled Lean Ground Beef is packaged in variable size containers. The beef is on a Styrofoam base with clear plastic overwrap. In Canada, MAPAQ is warning the public not to consume smoked ham sold by Ferme de Ladurantaye due to Listeria monocytogenes

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the company Ferme de Ladurantaye (858, chemin des Pionniers Ouest Cap-Saint-Ignace), advises the public not to consume Sliced Smoked Ham (“JAMBON FUMÉ TRANCHÉ ) best before March 22, 2025, because the foods are likely to contain Listeria monocytogenes. Supercan Bulk recalls a single lot of Pig Ear Slivers Pet Treats due to Salmonella

The FDA reported that Supercan Bulk (Miami, Florida) is recalling one lot of Supercan Pig Ear Slivers- Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats in 500 piece bags, 15.9 oz, expiration date 11/09/2026, due to Salmonella contamination. The product comes in 15.9 oz bags with an expiration date of 11/09/2026, marked on the back side of the product. The health risk was discovered when samples of the product were collected on 03/04/2025 and tested by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. The product tested positive for Salmonella. The recalled lot of Supercan Pig Ear Sliver pet treats was distributed between 04/11/2024 in the North 40 store located in Washington State. No illnesses have been reported to date. Walker’s Wine Juice LLC recalls products due to possible Botulism

Walker’s Wine Juice LLC (Forestville, NY) is recalling its pumpkin juice because it may be contaminated with Botulism. The product was distributed via Walker’s Wine Juice retail store in NY. The juice was also distributed directly by Walker’s to a limited number of commercial wineries in IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MI, MN, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and WI. The products come in 2.5-gallon bag in boxes, and 5-gallon hot packs are labeled “pumpkin,”; and 30-, 60-, and 275-gallon bulk containers are tagged “pumpkin.”; All lots are subject to the recall. No illnesses have been reported to date. The potential contamination was discovered after an inspection by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors found that the pumpkin juice pH was too high to be processed per Walker’s “hot fill” schedule process.
