Dole Fresh Vegetables announces recall of additional salads processed at Springfield (OH) and Soledad (CA) Facilities due to Listeria monocytogenes

January 7, 2022, The FDA reported that Dole Fresh Vegetables extended the recall of products to include all Dole-branded and private label packaged salads processed at Springfield, OH and Soledad, CA production facilities containing iceberg lettuce due to possible Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported to date. This voluntary recall notification is being issued after harvest equipment used in harvesting the raw iceberg lettuce material used in these finished products was tested by Dole and found to contain Listeria monocytogenes. Recalled salad items from the Springfield facility were distributed in AL, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA, and WI. These salads were distributed in the following Canadian provinces: New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec. Recalled salad items from the Soledad facility were distributed in the states of AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, MD, ND, NE, NV, NY, OK, OR, PA, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI. According to the CFIA, 1991166 Ontario Inc. recalled Mahruse branded Tahini Sesame Seed Paste Spread products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. According to the CFIA, Dole Canada Company (Markham, Ontario) recalled Dole and President’s Choice Salads and Salad Kits from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Interstate Meat Dist. recalls ground beef due to E. coli O157:H7 Contamination

Jan. 6, 2022 –The USDA/FSIS announced that Interstate Meat Dist. Inc (Clackamas, Oregon) recalled ~28,356 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The raw, ground beef items were produced on Dec. 20, 2021. The products were shipped to Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming retail locations. The issue was reported to FSIS after a retail package of ground beef was purchased and submitted to a third-party laboratory for microbiological analysis.
