In Canada Life120 brand “Ricotta Di Bufala Campana Dop” recalled due to generic E. coli

According to the CFIA, La Fromagerie Hamel / Les Fromageries Pimar Inc.  (Montreal, Quebec) recalled Life120 branded Ricotta Di Bufala Campana Dop Cheese from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Escherichia Coli (“E. Coli”) contamination.  Life120 branded Ricotta Di Bufala Campana Dop Cheese, sold in 250 gram packages. Updated information about the E. coli O157:H7 outbreak related to Wendy’s lettuce

The CDC reported that while a specific food has not yet been confirmed as the source of this outbreak, many sick people reported eating burgers and sandwiches with romaine lettuce at Wendy’s restaurants before getting sick. Since August 19, 2022, 47 more illnesses have been reported to CDC since the last update. As of August 24, 2022, a total of 84 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli O157:H7 have been reported from 4 states (IN (2), MI (53), OH (23), and PA (2)). Of 73 people with information available, 38 have been hospitalized, and 8 in Michigan have developed hemolytic uremic syndrome. No deaths have been reported. The actual number of sick people in this outbreak is likely higher than the number reported, and the outbreak may not be limited to the states with known illnesses. The Wendy’s restaurants where sick people ate are in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. People reported eating a variety of menu items, including burgers and sandwiches. The FDA reported that as of August 25, 2022, they received 369 Consumer Adverse Event Reports (CAERS) related to the French Lentil & Leek Crumbles. There have been 125 hospitalizations due to the product. ASDA recalled white Lasagne Sauce from the British marketplace due to microbiological contamination

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports that Asda Stores Ltd. (Huddersfield, West Yorkshire) recalled Asda branded White Lasagne Sauce from the British marketplace due to suspected unspecified microbiological contamination.
