Something South African recalled the Peppercorn Collection Gift Set due to mold contamination

The FDA reported that Something South African LLC of Seattle, WA, is recalling the Peppercorn Collection Gift Set, affected Best Before End (BBE) date of JUN/2024 because mold (Aspergillus brasiliensis) and the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A were detected in the Malaysian Long Pepper. The gift set has the net wt. 4.87oz/138g and the set consists of eight different kinds of dried peppers, each packaged in a sealed glass tube. The gift set that contains the affected Malaysian Long Pepper has the Best Before End (BBE) date of JUN/2024 and Batch 494951-T printed on the back side of the package. The product was sold at the World Market stores nationwide and on the World Market e-commerce web. FDA advises restaurants, retailers and consumers to avoid contaminated oysters from Texas

The FDA is advising consumers not to eat and restaurants and food retailers not to sell and dispose of oysters harvested between 11/17/2022 and 12/7/2022 from area TX 1, Galveston Bay, Texas, due to possible norovirus contamination. On December 8, 2022, the Texas Department of State Health Services issued a recall for all oysters harvested between 11/17/2022 and 12/7/2022. The outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes linked to Brie and Camembert Cheese (reference #1106) is over, and the FDA investigation has closed.
