In Canada, various parfait and yogurt bowls were recalled due to Salmonella

The CFIA published a report on the recall by Loblaw Companies Limited, Metro Ontario Inc., and Sobeys Inc. due to possible Salmonella contamination because these products were made using Quaker Canada granola. Quaker Canada has announced a countrywide voluntary recall of nearly 40 brands of granola bars and Harvest Crunch cereals due to potential salmonella exposure. The affected products were made using granola recalled by Quaker Canada on Thursday and are being sold at Loblaw’s and Sobey’s chains such as Superstore, Your Independent Grocer, Extra Foods, Wholesale Club, IGA, Safeway, Sobeys, and Thrifty Foods. The recall follows a similar initiative by the Quaker Oats Company in the US and includes various Croque Nature cereals, Chewy and Chewy Dipps bars, yogurt soft bars, and some Cap’n Crunch Treats cereal bars recalled due to Salmonella. FDA advises restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell and consumers not to eat oysters from Bahia Salina in Sonora, Mexico, due to Norovirus

The FDA is advising restaurants and food retailers not to serve or sell and to dispose of oysters and consumers not to eat oysters from Sociedad Acuicola GolPac (MX 06 SP) harvested from Bahia Salina, Sonora, Mexico on 12/18/2023 or 12/27/2023 because they may be contaminated with Norovirus. On 1/10/2024, the California Department of Public Health notified the FDA of an outbreak of Norovirus in San Diego County, CA, linked to the consumption of oysters tracing back to a specific harvest location in Mexico. Update: Quaker issues a revised recall notice with additional products due to Salmonella

January 11, 2024-The FDA announced that the Quaker Oats Company has extended its recall from December 15, 2023, to include additional cereals, bars, and snacks because they can potentially be contaminated with Salmonella. The products include Quaker Chewy Granola bars, Cap’n Crunch cereal bars, Quaker Chewy Granola Breakfast Cereal, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, Cap’n Crunch cereals, Cap’n Crunch Instant Oatmeal, Gatorade Protein Bar Peanut Butter Chocolate,  and Munchies Snack Mix. In Canada, Erborinato Al Tartufo products recalled cheese due to Listeria monocytogenes

According to the CFIA, Cucina Fine Foods (Montreal, Quebec) recalled Erborinato Al Tartufo Cheese products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
