Murray Int’l Trading is recalling Angelicae Sinensis due to elevated levels of lead and cadmium

The FDA reported that Murray Int’l Trading of Brooklyn, NY, is recalling Angelicae Sinensis because it may contain elevated levels of lead and cadmium. The Angelicae Sinensis is used to make soup.  Exposure to large amounts of lead and cadmium can cause poisoning. Angelicae Sinensis was distributed in the following states. The product was distributed through retail stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington DC, Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas. The Herbal Doctor Brand Angelicae Sinensis is packed in a green plastic bag weighing 16oz (454g).
