Metro Produce Distributors Inc. recalled fresh guacamole due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Metro Produce Distributors Inc. (Minneapolis, Minnesota) recalled all Lunds & Byerlys fresh guacamole products with a use-by date of August 2, 2024, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The fresh guacamole was sold at Lunds & Byerlys grocery stores in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and St. Cloud. The product was also available in select locations, such as Taco Mas food bars, from July 27 to 31. The products are packaged in clear plastic containers. No confirmed illnesses have been reported to date. The recall resulted from a routine sampling program by the company, which revealed that the finished products could potentially contain Listeria monocytogenes. The company has ceased producing and distributing the products as they continue their investigation. @ https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/metro-produce-distributors-inc-recalls-fresh-guacamole-because-possible-health-risk?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery
