Marvel Food and Deli Country Style Adjika salsa was recalled due to botulism risk

The Seattle-based Marvel Food and Deli in Auburn, WA, recalled "Country-Style Adjika" tomato-based salsa due to a potential botulism risk from improper canning processes. The 32oz glass jars with SKU# 72176232104 were produced between Jan 2024–March 2026, sold at Marvel Food and Deli locations, and were not distributed outside the stores. To date, no illnesses have been reported relating to this product. The recall was initiated after an inspection from Public Health Seattle & King County, which found the Adjika was canned using an unapproved process that could lead to the growth of Clostridium botulinum. The recalled product is a tomato-based salsa called 'Country Style Adjika.' It is canned in a 32-oz glass jar. Marvel Food and Deli says all existing in-house Country Style Adjika have been removed from the store shelves.  @ https://www.foodpoisonjournal.com/food-poisoning-information/salsa-recalled-due-to-botulism-risk/
