Kyle Diamantas will become Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods at the FDA after Jim Jones’ resignation

According to Bloomberg News, Kyle Diamantas is expected to be named the deputy commissioner for human foods at the FDA, making him the top food regulator in the US Attorney Kyle Diamantas is expected to be announced as the new deputy commissioner for human foods at the US Food and Drug Administration following the resignation earlier this week of Jim Johns sources familiar with the decision said. Diamantas is registered as an attorney in Florida and is currently listed as a special assistant in the FDA commissioner's office, according to the Department of Health and Human Services employee directory. The former Deputy of Human Foods, Jim Jones, resigned Monday due to staff firings by the Trump Administration. Approximately 90 employees in the food program were fired. Jones said he had been looking forward to working with the new Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to make the American food supply even safer than it is.
