In the UK, Nestlé recalled several SMA Infant Formula and follow-on formula due to the presence of cereulide (toxin)

The FSA reported that on February 03, 2026, Nestlé UK & Ireland expanded the recall for several SMA (Simulated Milk Adapted) Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula products. This action is due to the confirmed presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus. The recall has been extended to include one additional batch for one product. A list of additional products included in the update is supplied. The contamination has been traced back to a specific ingredient, arachidonic acid (ARA) oil, sourced from a third-party supplier. This issue has also affected other brands, including Aptamil. @ https://www.food.gov.uk/news-alerts/alert/fsa-prin-02-2026-update-2
