In the UK, the FSA reported that Prepworld has recalled 13 fruit products containing apple and kiwi sold at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, Waitrose, Morrisons, and ASDA following the detection of salmonella in routine testing. The affected items, including fruit pots, kebabs, and snack packs, carry use-by dates of 23 or 24 June 2026. Routine testing identified Salmonella contamination in batches of apples and kiwi fruit used to manufacture these products. After these findings, the PrepWorld issued an immediate product withdrawal. The large-scale recall was triggered by contamination in shared supply-chain ingredients, prompting simultaneous action across multiple retailers. All six affected supermarket chains have issued point-of-sale notices explaining the recall and offering full refunds @ https://globalhealthcaremagazine.com/news/fruit-pack-recall-in-uk-supermarkets/
