In Ireland, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland reported that Western Brand is recalling multiple batches of raw chicken products sold at major retailers (including Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, and Tesco) due to Salmonella contamination. Over 50 chicken products contaminated with Salmonella were recalled from Irish supermarkets. Although some of the implicated batches are past their use-by date, the products are suitable for home freezing. Consumers are advised to check their freezers for the implicated batches.
