In Canada, Walmart recalled Great Value Pacific White shrimp due to 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone

According to the CFIA, Select Source Seafood (Concord, Ontario) has recalled Great Value Pacific White Shrimp Cooked, Peeled, and Deveined from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone contamination. 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone is a metabolite of the antibiotic furazolidone, a banned substance in foods due to its potential carcinogenic and genotoxic effects. The shrimp was sold at Walmart stores throughout Canada.
