In Canada the outbreak of Salmonella in Pistachio continues (December 15, 2025)

The Salmonella outbreak in pistachios continues in Canada. CFIA recalled Baklava containing pistachios, prepared and sold by Super Marché BAKLAW. Raw shelled pistachios sold by the company Payer et Emporter Central Inc. Also, "Raw, shell-less pistachios". The CFIA reported that various pistachio-containing pastries prepared and sold by Boulangerie Le Marquis (Boisbriand) were recalled. Pistachios sold in bulk by the companies Noix Orientale, Aliments Noizelle, Marché Daata, Kabul Market, Payer et emporter central inc., Dépôt 110+, and Choconoix.
