On August 21, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal and the company Les aliments Wah Hoa (4800, rue Saint-Ambroise, in Montreal) advised the public not to consume the tofu products FRIED TOFU, SOFT TOFU, and PRESSED TOFU, because they are likely to contain Bacillus cereus or generic E. coli. The products sold refrigerated until August 20, 2024, in several establishments in Quebec.
