The CFIA reported that Jean Perrin brand of Morbier cheese has been recalled from the Canadian marketplace due to possible pathogenic E. coli contamination. The product was sold up to and including January 29, 2025, at les amis du FROMAGE. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products in Canada. The recall was initiated in France, where the unpasteurized Morbier cheeses were sold at several major French supermarkets. The French consumer protection agency Rappel Conso raised the alert on January 24 over the cheeses that were sold between mid-November 2024 and the end of January 2025. The Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) has announced the recall of Morbier cheese from the brand Jean Perrin due to the possible presence of E. coli (STEC). In Canada the product was distributed in British Columbia. @ https://recalls-rappels.canada.ca/en/alert-recall/jean-perrin-brand-morbier-cheese-recalled-due-pathogenic-ecoli?utm_source=gc-notify&utm_medium=email&utm_content=en&utm_campaign=hc-sc-rsa-22-23
