In Canada, Bacillus cereus was found in sprouted bean salad prepared and sold by the Korean Food Market

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the City of Montreal's Food Inspection Division and the company Korean Food Market Mtl (6170 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal), advises the public not to consume Soybean Salad, with a best-before date of February 16, 2026, as it is likely to contain the Bacillus cereus bacteria. The product was offered for sale until February 13, 2026, and only at the establishment indicated above. The product was packaged in a clear plastic container and sold refrigerated. The company has agreed with the Ministry and the City of Montreal's Food Inspection Division to issue this warning as a precautionary measure. Furthermore, anyone in possession of this product is advised not to consume it.
