In Canada, an outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to dog food and treats

The Government of Canada has recalled Puppy Love and Puppy World raw pet treats due to possible Salmonella Oranienburg contamination, affecting products sold in various bag sizes across Canada. The Puppy Love product packaging is predominantly black and red. The Puppy World product packaging is predominantly black and green. The agency reported that 32 laboratory-confirmed human cases of Salmonella Oranienburg illness linked to this outbreak have been reported in Alberta (14). British Columbia (15), Northwest Territories (1), and Ontario (2). There are eight hospitalizations and no reported deaths.
