The FDA reported that Dairyland Produce, LLC, dba Hardie’s Fresh Foods, of Houston, TX, and Dallas, TX, is recalling PEPPER JALAPEÑO 5# because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The jalapeños were distributed to Costco locations: Store #1487 at 12717 Network Drive, Stafford, TX, and Store #0655 at 8282 Park Lane, Dallas, TX. The affected jalapeños are in clear plastic bags with a pink label. Hardie’s Fresh Foods repacked these jalapeños. Hardie’s Fresh Foods has ceased the production and distribution of the product. THE FDA has issued an urgent recall for produce sold at Costco due to potential Salmonella contamination. According to the FDA, the peppers were sold in Costco warehouses across Texas. The peppers were produced by Dairyland Produce and packaged by Hardie’s, and may still be labeled with the Dairyland sticker.
