CORE update of November 08, 2023: the CORE list of outbreaks and adverse events includes three activity cases and one new outbreak. The new investigation of illnesses (ref # 1198) is linked to apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches. The outbreak is being managed by the FDA’s CORE and was added to the table. The illnesses associated with the product are due to elevated lead levels. The FDA had issued an advisory to consumers, initiating traceback, sample collection and analysis, and onsite inspection.
