Core update as of July 15, 2026

The CORE update lists 13 outbreaks and adverse event postings. A new outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1390) linked to an unidentified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback and sampling. Additionally, the CDC has issued an investigation notice. As of July 13, more than 400 people infected with Cyclospora have been reported to the CDC from 4 states in connection with this multistate outbreak: Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1385) linked to an unidentified product has increased the case count from 7 to 8. The outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1387), linked to an unidentified product, has increased the case count from 51 to 69. The outbreak of E. coli O145:H28 (ref #1389) linked to frozen blueberries, the FDA has initiated sampling. The outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to an unidentified product has increased the case count from 80 to 91. The E. coli O157:H7 outbreak (ref #1369) was linked to raw cheddar cheese. The executive summary is available. Raw milk cheddar cheese manufactured by RAW FARM, LLC is the suspect vehicle, with 7 cases in 3 states: CA (5), FL, and TX.
