Consumers Supply Distributing, LLC recalls Country Vet Biscuits for dogs due to Salmonella

On December 24, 2025, Consumers Supply Distributing, LLC of Sioux City, Iowa, issued a voluntary recall for 4 lb. bags of dog biscuits due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall is for Original Meaty Flavor and 4 lb. bags of Heartland Harvest Dog Biscuits, as well as Meaty Flavor with Chicken. The recalled products were sold through retail stores in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Montana, and Nebraska. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. The recall resulted from a routine FDA sampling program that found Salmonella in the finished products. The company has ceased production and distribution of the lot in question, and the FDA and the company continue their investigation into the cause of the problem.
