Massachusetts DPH recalls “Dog Gone Dog Treats” due to Salmonella

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recalled the dog treats “Dog Gone Dog Treats” because three cases of Salmonella were linked to the dog treats. The three cases linked to the treats are two adults in their 70s and a child; all three are from Essex County. The treats are manufactured in Georgetown, Massachusetts. The flavors included in this recall are chicken chips, beef liver, and sweet potato chips. These treats were sold at Essex County Co-Op in Topsfield, New England Dog Biscuit Company in Salem, Gimme Chews and Moore in Haverhill, and Animal Krackers in Gloucester. One of the bags from a customer and multiple bags have been tested and came back positive with Salmonella by the state Public Laboratory. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports that Mortlake Organic Dairy (Mortlake, Victoria) recalls L’Artisan Cheese – Organic Marcel from the Australian marketplace due to suspected E. coli. The recalled L’Artisan Cheese – Organic Marcel is packaged in 180 gram plastic/paper wrapped mini-wheels with a batch/lot code of 11012022 and a best-before code of 08MAR2022. The Royal Ice Cream Company expands recall due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that the Royal Ice Cream Company, Inc. (Manchester, CT) is expanding its recall to include all products manufactured at the facility within expiry. The products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The ice cream was distributed in MA, CT, RI, VT, NY, LA, FL, TX, and NH. Products are packaged in pints, half gallons, Sandwiches, portion control slices. There have been no illnesses reported to date. The recall was initiated by Royal Ice Cream after FDA sampling revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes on processing equipment. Jan Fruits Inc. recalls Enoki Mushrooms due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Jan Fruits Inc. (VERNON, CA) is recalling all its cases of its 200g/7.05oz packages of ENOKI MUSHROOM (Product of Taiwan) because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Enoki Mushroom products were distributed in CA to produce distributors or wholesalers for further distribution to retail stores. The Enoki Mushroom comes in a 200g/7.05oz clear plastic package. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product. The distribution of the product has been suspended.
