The FDA reported that TFP Nutrition of Nacogdoches, TX, announced that it recalls the Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food due to potential Salmonella. The product was manufactured at the Nacogdoches, Texas facility on October 4, 2023 and October 5, 2023. The affected product was distributed in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. No dog or human illness has been reported. Greenhead Lobster Products Recalls Frozen Cooked Lobster due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Greenhead Lobster Products recalled all frozen and refrigerated cooked lobster meat products produced from May 9, 2023, through October 19, 2023, due to the potential to contaminate the product by Listeria monocytogenes. Although none of the recalled products has tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, the recall is based on the organism’s presence in the processing environment. The recalled product, Greenhead Lobster Fresh Cooked Lobster Meat, was sold frozen or refrigerated in packages ranging from 1 to 2 lbs. or in cases up to 12 lbs. and can be identified with “best if used by” dates ranging from May 9, 2025, to October 12, 2025, for frozen product, and May 27, 2023, to October 30, 2023, for refrigerated product. Products were directly distributed to Maine and New Hampshire and then sold nationwide through wholesale distributors and online via e-commerce. Baker Farms recalled Kroger Bagged Collard Greens Due to Listeria Monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Baker Farms of Norman Park, GA, recalled a single production run of Kroger 16-ounce bagged Collard Greens due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. To date, there have been no reports of illness related to the consumption of this bagged collard green product. The recalled product,16-ounce bags of Kroger Collard Greens, was sold in the produce department. All potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture discovered the issue while conducting routine product testing. The product was distributed to various Kroger retail locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The recall also impacts parts of Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. FDA advises restaurants & retailers not to serve or sell and consumers not to eat Oysters from Future Seafoods due to contamination with Salmonella and E. coli

The FDA advised restaurants and retailers in Florida (FL), Massachusetts (MA), Maryland (MD), Maine (ME), Pennsylvania (PA), and Virginia (VA) not to serve or sell, and consumers in FL, MA, MD, ME, PA, or VA., not to eat oysters harvested from Future Seafoods, Inc. (PE 4217 SP) based in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island, Canada, due to the possible presence of Salmonella and E. coli. On 10/10/2023, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) tested oysters and discovered the presence of Salmonella and unacceptable levels of generic E. coli. On 10/18/2023, the CFIA informed the FDA of the testing results from the contaminated product. Canada is investigating the cause of the food safety problem.
