FSA reported that Sainsbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar was recalled in the UK due to Salmonella

According to the FSA, Sainsbuy’s Supermarkets has recalled Sainsbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar from the British marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. The recalled product is Sainsbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar, sold in 200 gram packages with a best-before date of 12 June 2023, 22 June 2023, or 30 June 2023

TW4115 Black Fungus (Nam Meo) recalled due to potential Salmonella contamination

The FDA reported that AH USA GROUP INC. recalled TW4115 Black Fungus (Nam Meo) product due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the California Department of Public Health and is being taken as a precautionary measure. The recalled TW4115 Black Fungus was distributed in California, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Washington, Arizona, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. The product was sold through small grocery stores. Golden Koi’s Black Fungus is distributed by AH USA GROUP INC. this brand of Black fungus has a shelf life best buy date of October 2024. The Black Fungus was Packaged in a container of 2.5 OZ. To date, this product has no reported incidents correlated with Salmonella. The state of Pennsylvania collected a sample of the product and found traces of Salmonella. CORE update as of May 10, 2023, the CORE list of outbreaks and adverse events includes 4 active cases. Two cases had changes this week. The outbreak linked to morel mushrooms (ref #1152), the case count has increased from 30 cases to 41 cases. Chang Farm Expands Recalls Mung and Soy Bean Sprouts

The FDA reported that Chang Farm (301 River Road, Whatley, MA) expanded their recall to include ALL Mung Bean Sprouts and Soy Bean Sprouts within expiry because of the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products include Beans Sprouts 10lb bag and bag in box, Nature’s Wonder Premium Beans Sprouts 12oz bag, and Nature’s Wonder Premium Soybean Sprouts 12oz bag. The product has been distributed to retail stores and wholesalers throughout MA, CT, NY, RI, and NJ. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company expanded the recall in response to a notification by the Massachusetts Food Protection Agency that a Mung Beans Sprouts sample collected on May 4th, 2023, at Chang Farm by the agency tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
