Viva Raw Dog Food was recalled due to Salmonella & Listeria monocytogenes

Viva Pet Food recalled pet food after investigators showed that it was positive for Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. The voluntary recall included products shipped to over 1,500 customers, specifically Viva Duck for Dogs (Chunked), with Lot number 22853. The investigation was sparked by a single customer complaint, which ultimately led to the discovery of both Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. According to Viva Raw’s statement online, the product in question had the last shipment departing warehouses on Dec. 6, 2023. CORE update of February 20, 2024

CORE update of February 20, 2024: the CORE list of outbreaks and adverse events includes three activity cases. A new outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 in raw cheddar cheese has been added to the table. A recall was initiated, and an outbreak advisory was issued. The outbreak advisory has been updated to include additional downstream recalls for the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1214) linked to queso fresco and cotija cheese. In Canada, certain brands of eggs were recalled due to Salmonella

The CFIA had recalled several brands of eggs from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. The CFIA warned residents of Saskatchewan not to consume eggs distributed under the No Name large eggs, Compliments large eggs, Harman medium eggs, and Star Eggs medium, large and extra-large eggs as potentially contaminated with Salmonella. Test results triggered the recall. The eggs were distributed in Saskatchewan. In Canada, Modhani recalled Paneer fresh cheese due to generic E. coli

According to the CFIA, Modhani Inc. recalled  Modhani branded Paneer Fresh Cheese from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected contamination by generic  Escherichia Coli (E. coli). The following Fresh Cheese products are subject to this recall: Modhani branded Paneer Cheese, sold in 300-gram packages, and Modhani branded Paneer Cheese, sold in 1.6 kilograms.
