European Butcher brand back bacon recalled due to Listeria monocytogenes

The CFIA reported that European Butcher brand Canadian back bacon half, Canadian back bacon chunks, and Canadian back bacon sliced in various weights were recalled from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The CFIA triggered this recall due to its test results. The product was distributed in Ontario. FSIS warned about ineligible meat and poultry products illegally imported from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

The USDA/FSIS issued a public health alert for meat and poultry products illegally imported from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Myanmar is ineligible to export meat and poultry products to the United States. FSIS is continuing to investigate how these products entered the country. The products do not bear any import marks on the labels. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide. The problem was discovered when FSIS was performing routine surveillance activities at a retailer and found meat and poultry products from Myanmar that are not eligible to be exported to the U.S. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.  @ https://www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls-alerts/fsis-issues-public-health-alert-ineligible-meat-and-poultry-products-illegally-0

La Réserve des Crémiers brand “Tomme de savoie fruitière” recalled due to Listeria monocytogenes

The CFIA reported that Fromi Canada Inc., (Montréal, Quebec) a subsidiary of Fromi GmbH of Kehl-Auenheim, Germany, recalled La Réserve des Crémiers branded Tomme de Savoie Fruitière Cheese from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes. According to the CFIA, the following Dairy products are subject to the recall: La Réserve des Crémiers Tomme de Savoie Fruitière Cheese sold in 1.614 kilogram wheels. PA Agriculture Department warns consumers to discard Listeria-contaminated Raw Milk Cheddar Cheese from BeiHollow Farm

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture warns consumers to immediately discard BeiHollow Farm brand raw milk cheddar cheese aged 60 days. Routine testing in two retail packages purchased by the department confirmed that the cheese was contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The cheese was distributed by BeiHollow Farm (314 Chubb Road, in Elizabethville, Dauphin County). The contaminated cheese was sold at Racoon Valley Farm (593 Racoon Valley Road, in Millerstown, Perry County). Other locations where the product was sold are unknown. To date, the producer has refused to recall products, provide a list of retail outlets selling the cheese, or cooperate with state food safety inspectors’ investigation to determine the extent of the contamination.
