Aruba Aloe Balm NV recalled Aruba Aloe Hand Sanitizer Gel Alcohol 80% and Aruba Aloe Alcoholada gel due to the presence of Methanol

The FDA reported that on April 5th, 2024, Oranjestad, Aruba, Aruba Aloe Balm NV recalled 40 lots of Aruba Aloe Hand Sanitizer Gel Alcohol 80% and Aruba Aloe Alcoholada Gel to the consumer level. The products have been found to contain alcohol denatured with Methanol. Aruba Aloe Balm NV has not received any reports of adverse events related to these products. The product is packaged in 12 fl oz (355 mL) dark green plastic bottles with white label reading in part “ARUBA ALOE Hand Sanitizer GEL, 80% Alcohol, Made in Aruba World’s Finest Aloe”, with barcode 0 82252 03300 5. Aruba Aloe Alcoholada Gel is used to temporarily relieve pain and itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, insect bites, or skin irritations. It is packaged in two sizes: 2.2 fl oz (65 mL) plastic bottles. Products were distributed between 5/1/2021 and 10/27/2023 and sold online in the US via the Aruba Aloe Balm NV website. In Canada, Adonis Classic hummus was recalled due to yeast

According to the CFIA Groupe Manufacturier Metro Inc. recalled Adonis brand Classic Hummus because of microbial contamination, specifically yeast. The products were sold in 250 g containers. In Israel, the importer Gold Frost Ltd. recalled from the marketplace Edema – green soybeans frozen in pods from Wily Food brand – green soybeans in frozen pods 1 kg due to Listeria monocytogenes. The product was manufactured by Zeinzg Kingshore Foods Co Ltd – China. The CDC issued the final report on the Salmonella outbreak linked to Charcuterie Meats

The CDC reported that the outbreak of Salmonella in Charcuterie meats is over. A total of 104 people were infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella, and 27 were hospitalized In 33 states. Illnesses started from November 20, 2023, to February 10, 2024. Of 92 people with information available, 27 were hospitalized. No deaths were reported. Of 68 people interviewed, 50 (74%) sick people reported eating a variety of charcuterie meats. 25 people provided specific information or shopper card records, all of which reported brands of charcuterie meats produced by Fratelli Beretta. The outbreak strain was found in one package of Fratelli Beretta charcuterie products. The outbreak investigation is over but recalled products have a six-month shelf life. The recalled products were sold nationwide under many brands, including Aldi, Beretta, Black Bear, Busseto, Culinary Tour, Dietz and Watson, Lidl, Publix, and Salumi Artigianali. @ https://www.cdc.gov/salmonella/charcuterie-meats-01-24/index.html
