In Canada, Fruit Dôme Thyme was recalled due to pathogenic E. coli

In Canada, the CFIA recalled Fruit Dôme (Mont-Royal, Quebec) Thyme that is sold in 500 gram containers from the Canadian market due to suspected pathogenic Escherichia coli.. The thyme was distributed to warehouses in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec. The FDA reported more recalls on tomatoes due to Salmonella

The FDA reported on two separate recalls due to the potential salmonella contamination in raw tomato products distributed across multiple U.S. states. Their distributors initiated both. In the first one the FDA reported that Hanshaw & Capling Farms, LLC (815 E Main St, Immokalee, FL 34142) recalled their tomatoes, recalled raw premium tomatoes, naturally grown from Seed (Net WT 25 Lbs., 11.34 KG), packaged in cardboard box with lid, multiple packaging sizes of tomatoes (JUMBO PER BOX 38-42 TOMATOES, 5X6 PER BOX 55-62 TOMATOES, 6X6 PER BOX 75-82 TOMATOES, 6X7 PER BOX 85-92 TOMATOES. REFRIGRERATE) due to Salmonella. The products were distributed in TX, IL, WI, SC, FL, TN, IN, and MA.@ https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/ires/?Event=96803

Ray & Mascari, Inc. (324 S New Jersey St, Indianapolis, IN 46204), a repacking company, recalled Tomatoes, retail 4 Count Vine Ripe Tomatoes packaged in clamshell containers [20 oz. (1 lb. 4 oz) 567g] with UPC# 7 96553 20062 1; 12 retail clam shells per case. Bulk 25# 6×6 tomatoes (cardboard case), bulk 10# 6×6 Tomatoes (cardboard case), bulk 25# Random #2 Tomatoes (cardboard case), bulk 20# 5×6 Vine Ripe (cardboard case) due to Salmonella. The recall came after receiving notice from Hanshaw & Capling Farms that the tomatoes might be contaminated with Salmonella. The CORE update list of outbreaks and adverse events includes ten postings. A new outbreak of Salmonella Montevideo (ref #1304) linked to a not yet identified product has been added to the table. The FDA has initiated a traceback. Another new outbreak of E. coli O145 (ref #1303) linked to a not yet identified product has been added to the table. The FDA has initiated a traceback. An outbreak advisory has been issued regarding the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1305). Consumers, retailers, and distributors should not eat, sell, or serve recalled Ready-to-Eat sandwiches and snack items from Fresh & Ready Foods. This outbreak was previously listed on the table as ref #1220. The outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1300) linked to a not yet identified product, the case count has increased from 66 to 78 cases. FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for RTE Chicken and Bacon Wrap Products Due to Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination

The USDA/ FSIS issued a public health alert for ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken and bacon wrap products due to concerns that the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. A recall was not requested because the affected products are no longer available for purchase. The RTE chicken and bacon ranch wrap products were produced on May 2, 2025. The subject to the public health alert are, 10-oz. clear plastic clamshell packages containing “Big Y quick easy meals CHICKEN BACON RANCH WRAP” with “Sell By 05/07/2025”, and 10-oz. clear plastic clamshell packages containing “MARKET 32 BY PRICE CHOPPER Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap” with “Sell Through 05/07/2025”. These items were shipped to distributors in Massachusetts and New York and further distributed to retail locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. The problem was discovered when a state public health partner notified FSIS of a product sample that tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.
