K-Fresh Enoki Mushroom recalled in Canada due to Listeria monocytogenes

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) reported that Kam Ding Investment Ltd. recalls K-Fresh brand enoki mushrooms due to possible Listeria contamination. The affected mushrooms were sold in 200-gram packages in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. The CFIA says they may have also been sold in other provinces and territories, and the recall could be expanded after further investigation. A consumer complaint triggered this recall. El Chilar Rodriguez issued a recall of El Chilar Ground Cinnamon “Canela Molida” due to elevated lead levels

El Chilar Rodriguez LLC of Apopka, FL, is recalling 127 cases (12 bags/case) of El Chilar Ground Cinnamon “Canela Molida” (1.25 oz bag) because it may contain traces of lead. The product was distributed by La Raza LLC (8795 D’Arcy Rd, Forestville, MD 20747), which was distributed to retail stores in Maryland. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after the Maryland Department of Health collected product samples, and the analysis returned elevated lead concentrations.
