The FSA reported that Orgenism is recalling Eggshell Membrane Capsules sold on Amazon because Salmonella has been found in the product. The contamination was discovered during a routine test, according to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. Orgenism Eggshell Membrane Capsules are sold in a pack size of 60 capsules, 500mg per serving. Core update June 18, 2025

The CORE update list of outbreaks and adverse events includes eight postings. A new outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (reference #1311) illnesses linked to Emek-brand Pistachio Cream has been added to the table. The infections are linked to Emek-brand Pistachio Cream, manufactured by Emek Dogal Saglik Urunleri Iklim Gida Insaat San Tic Ltd. Sti. in Turkey, and imported to wholesale distributors, restaurants, and food service locations in the United States. As of June 13, 2025, a total of four cases of Salmonella infection with the outbreak strain have been reported from two states. The outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1301) linked to an unidentified product has increased in case count from 33 to 34 cases. The outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1290) has prompted the USDA FSIS, CDC, and FDA to issue an advisory for recalled chicken fettuccine Alfredo meals made by FreshRealm, Inc. As of June 18, 2025, a total of 17 cases have been reported from 13 states. Of 17 people with information, 16 (94%) were hospitalized, and there were 3 deaths attributed to listeriosis. Face Rock Creamery recalls Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds due to Listeria monocytogenes

The FDA reported that Face Rock Creamery of Bandon, Oregon, has recalled two specific lots of its Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds, 6 oz. cups, Use By date 08292025 because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected product was distributed in Trader Joe’s locations in Northern California (including Monterey, Fresno, and all locations North) and Northern Nevada (including Carson City, Reno, and Sparks). The Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds were packaged in a clear, sealed plastic cup with a lid and have the UPC 8 51222 00528 7. It has the Lot numbers 20250519VS01 and 20250519VS02 and the Use By date of 08292025. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was the result of a routine sampling program by the company, which revealed that the finished products contained the bacteria. In Canada, Chaeban Mediterani Mascarpone Fresh Soft Cheese was recalled due to generic E. coli

The CFIA reported that Chaeban Ice Cream (Winnipeg, Manitoba) recalled Chaeban branded Mediterani Mascarpone Fresh Soft Cheese from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected generic Escherichia Coli (“E. Coli”). The following Fresh Soft Cheese is subject to this recall: Chaeban branded Mediterani Mascarpone Fresh Soft Cheese, sold in 250 gram plastic tubs with a best-before date code of .25 AU 01, a batch/lot of 2025050201 and a UPC of 6 28011 03061 0.
