The CORE update list of outbreaks and adverse events includes five postings. The only change to the table is in the outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1290) linked to an unidentified product. USDA-FSIS reference number (2025-05) for the investigation has been added to the table. The Austrian food safety authority reported that Wojnar’s Wiener Leckerbissen Delikatessenerzeugung GmbH recalled various varieties of its hummus because Salmonella was detected in the raw material Tahini during an internal quality control process. The raw Tahini was used in a variety of batches of hummus. Therefore, the presence of Salmonella in these products cannot be ruled out. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recalled on4/12, 2025 a Black Forest ham sandwich due to possible contamination by Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was triggered by test results of the CFIA. The sandwich, sold under the Cuisine Fraicheur Urbaine brand, was distributed in Quebec in 179-gram packages, with product code 0 639725 401603 and a best before date of April 16, 2025.
