Kroger stores in the Greater Memphis area, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Western Kentucky are impacted by the recall. Marinated cucumber salads sold at Kroger locations in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky have also been impacted by the recall. @

Publix reported that it is recalling five products containing cucumbers due to the Salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers grown by Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales. The FDA reported that Walmart Inc. is voluntarily recalling Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices, produced in select stores located in Texas, because of the potential for Salmonella contamination. The recall was initiated because this product may contain recalled whole cucumbers supplied by Bedner Growers, Inc.(Boynton Beach, FL), which initiated a recall after the FDA notified Bedner Growers Inc. that the cucumbers described above were associated with reported salmonellosis illnesses. The FD reported that Big Y Foods (Springfield, MA) recalled some Made-To-Order Subs, Wraps, and Paninis sold between 5/20 and 5/21 in some Massachusetts and Connecticut retail stores because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Smartcuts notified Big Y Foods that the sliced cucumber distributed to Big Y Foods was impacted by the ongoing Bedner Growers Inc. Cucumber Outbreak investigation. The Smartcuts sliced cucumber is provided as an ingredient option for customers to order when ordering a sub, wrap, or panini at the sandwich service line within the retail Kitchen Department. Big Y Foods ceased operation in all stores, discarded products within the sub, wrap, and panini service line, and then thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the service line. All Made-To-Order subs, wraps, and paninis were produced within the Kitchen Department upon customer request. The subs, wraps, and paninis impacted by the cucumber recall were provided for sale to consumers on May 20, 2025, and May 21, 2025.
