In Austria, different varieties of hummus were recalled due to Salmonella

In Austria, AGES announced the recall by Max Catering Gmbh of various Hummus. During a routine inspection, Salmonella spp. was detected in the raw material tahini/sesame paste used in the products. No contamination has been confirmed in the products manufactured with it to date; however, since  it cannot be completely ruled out, there is a potential health risk from Salmonella spp. exists in the ready-to-eat products. As a precautionary measure, the entire inventory of potentially affected products sold up to and including April 14, 2025, is being recalled – consumption of these products is therefore not recommended. The inventory of the affected products has been withdrawn from sale. @ https://www.ages.at/mensch/produktwarnungen-produktrueckrufe/produkt/diverse-wojnar-convenience-produkte

In Austria, various varieties of Wojnar Hummus were recalled due to Salmonella

The Austrian food safety authority reported that Wojnar’s Wiener Leckerbissen Delikatessenerzeugung GmbH recalled various varieties of its hummus because Salmonella was detected in the raw material Tahini during an internal quality control process. The raw Tahini was used in a variety of batches of hummus. Therefore, the presence of Salmonella in these products cannot be ruled out. The products were temporarily available in Austria at Kröswang, Wedl, Kastner, Transgourmet, Eurogast, nöm Gast, and Julius Kiennast stores.  @ https://www.ages.at/mensch/produktwarnungen-produktrueckrufe/produkt/wojnar-hummus-diverse-sorten
