The FSA warned people not to eat a jarred broccoli in oil product (Vittoria Friarielli alla Napoletana), sold by La Sovrana with a particular batch code, due to concerns of Clostridium Botulinum. In some of the products from this batch, Clostridium botulinum was found. Vittoria Friarielli alla Napoletana is bottled broccoli in oil, used as a topping for pasta, and is packaged in 1,000 g bottles. It comes after four deaths linked to botulism were reported in Italy in recent weeks. Two of the victims had eaten broccoli and sausage sandwiches from a food vendor in Calabria, according to local media. The affected 1kg jars have the batch code 280325 and a best before date of March 23, 2028. @ https://www.food.gov.uk/news-alerts/alert/fsa-prin-41-2025
