In Canada, various minced meats sold by the Intermarché Palumbo Pierrefonds store were recalled due to STEC

In Canada, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the City of Montreal's Food Inspection Division and the Intermarché Palumbo Pierrefonds company (4957 Saint-Jean Boulevard, in Pierrefonds), advises the public not to consume LEAN MILK-MOVED VEAL, EXTRA LEAN GROUND BEEF COSTS, LEAN GROUND BEEF, MINCED BEEF, and MINCED PORK, as these foods are likely to contain STEC (Shiga toxin-producing E. coli). The products were offered for sale on February 24, 2026, and only at the establishment named above. They were packaged in a polystyrene tray covered with plastic film. They were sold refrigerated. @ https://www.quebec.ca/nouvelles/actualites/details/avis-de-ne-pas-consommer-differentes-viandes-hachees-vendues-par-lentreprise-intermarche-palumbo-pierrefonds-68890
