In Canada, Délifruits brand and Chocofolie brand Pistachio products were recalled due to Salmonella. Products recalled are Chocofolie Dubaï spread - pistachio & knafeh 1Kg, Chocofolie Dubaï spread pistachio 1kg, Délifruits Pistachio gelato 5L, Délifruits Dubaï spread - pistachio & knafeh 4x1 kg. The products were distributed in Quebec and possibly other territories. The recall is linked to an ongoing investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak in Canada. Various brands of pistachios and pistachio-containing products have been recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination. During the ongoing investigation, the CFIA identified additional affected pistachios and other products made with the recalled pistachios. This resulted in a series of secondary recalls affecting multiple brands and product types.
