Fuentes Farms recalls products due to cucumbers contaminated with Salmonella

The FDA reported that Fuentes Farms of McAllen, Texas, recalled 71 Boxes of fresh cucumbers because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The product was distributed in Texas by local vendors at flea markets in the McAllen and Alamo Areas. The affected product has a Fuentes Farm Label with Lot number 357. Boxes are 40Lbs, 1-1/9-bushel boxes, which read 'vegetables' and have a black background. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall, and the recall is not part of any current food outbreaks. The recall resulted from a routine sampling program by the company, which revealed that the finished products contained the bacteria.
