Country Eggs, recalls Large Brown Cage Free “Sunshine Yolks” due to Salmonella

The FDA reported that Country Eggs, LLC (Lucerne Valley, CA) recalled LARGE BROWN CAGE FREE SUNSHINE YOLKS because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The eggs were distributed in California and Nevada. The product was delivered to grocery stores and food service distributors. The product was packed in individual retail cartons bearing the product brand name: Nagatoshi. Sell by dates were: 7/1/25 through 9/16/25. Misuho sell by: 7/1/25 through 9/16/25. Nijiya Markets sell by: 7/1/25 through 9/16/25. Country Eggs LARGE BROWN SUNSHINE YOLKS sell by: 7/1/25 - 9/16/25. It has been reported that there have been 92 instances of illness and no reported deaths in connection with this product. The FDA and other authorities brought the contamination problem to the company's attention.
