FDA’s investigation is ongoing. The outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1329) has resulted in an increase in case count from 31 to 34 cases. The FDA has initiated a traceback and an onsite inspection. The outbreak of Cyclospora cayetanensis (ref #1325) linked to an unidentified product has prompted the FDA to initiate an onsite inspection. An outbreak advisory was issued for the outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1301) infections linked to eggs. On August 28, 2025, Country Eggs, LLC initiated a recall for specific lots of brown cage free eggs.
