Additional ground cinnamon was added to the FDA Public Health Alert due to the presence of elevated levels of lead

The FDA has added Jiva Organic cinnamon to its list of products with elevated levels of lead. The samples were collected at a retail store by the FDA. Exposure to the product might be unsafe, especially for children. This is the first addition to the list since July 2024. The FDA continues to work with states to test cinnamon sold directly to consumers at retail and to test cinnamon at import. @ https://www.fda.gov/food/alerts-advisories-safety-information/more-ground-cinnamon-products-added-fda-public-health-alert-due-presence-elevated-levels-lead?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery
