Several exciting new technologies are combining to help improve food safety. They include digitalized tracing of the foods from farm to the supermarket (e.g. using blockchain), the combination of “smart” sensors transmitting their data into the Internet-of-Things (IoT), utilization of artificial intelligence, and smart packaging.
