The Food Safety Authority of Ireland reported the recall of Manor Farm chicken products due to Salmonella

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) reported that Manor Farm is recalling various batches of chicken products due to possible Salmonella contamination. Although the implicated batches are past their use-by date, the products are suitable for home freezing. The FSAI has issued recall notices for various batches of Manor Farm and Western Brand chicken products, as well as for specific batches of Lidl chicken breast fillet products, due to the presence of Salmonella. The authority also urged consumers to check their freezers for the products and said recall notices will be displayed at the point of sale. The products produced by Manor Farm were sold in major supermarkets, including Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Centra, SuperValu, and Tesco, and were branded under their customers' names. Western Brands is recalling various batches of chicken products under the Lidl and Inishella brand names. Other impacted products are batches of Lidl's Free Range 100% Irish Chicken Breast Fillets 291g and 100% Irish Diced Chicken Breast Fillets 550g. Impacted products have use-by dates between 12 and 13 April. The FSAI said that although the batches are past their use-by date, they are "suitable for home freezing". It has advised consumers to check their freezers for the implicated batch and not to eat any products from it. The products were sold at both Aldi and Tesco, with use-by dates of 13 and 14 May. @ https://www.rte.ie/news/2026/0512/1572954-salmonella-chicken-recall/
