The number of recalls in Canada due to pistachios contaminated with Salmonella continues to grow. The Salmonella outbreak has sickened 117 people. Almost 50 products containing pistachios have been recalled to date. A weekly summary includes:
1. A variety of Roasted Pistachios sold from April 08 up to and including October 29, 2025. Sold at Fresh Nuts, in 12522-132 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. 2. Pistachios sold in bags by the company Masoud Distributions were subject to this warning. The product was offered for sale by various establishments between June 13 and October 30, 2025. In several regions of the province. It was sold in sachets at room temperature. In Quebec. 3. Yad Importation Co. recalls certain roasted pistachios sold in Quebec
Al Marwa Tahini Inc. recalls Balsam brand Pistachio Spread Creamy (5 kg; Code dates MAY 22 2026 & JUL 22 2026; UPC 0 782860 072730) due to Salmonella. sold in Ontario. 4. A variety of Roasted pistachios sold online and in Alberta and Ontario were recalled. 5. MXM Enterprise, Pistachio pain au chocolate, and St-Honoré pistachio (Ladurée Yorkville: 162 Cumberland St., Toronto, ON) were sold online and in Ontario between May 20, 2025, and October 28, 2025. 6. Nutsimex LTD, Pistachio Kernel - Grade: AA and Pistachio Kernel - Grade: Kalle Ghouchi. Sold to hotels and restaurants in Ontario and Quebec, sold in 10 kg bags with an Expiry of May 2027. 7. MAPAQ reported that Trésors sucrés pastry shop (3640 Jean-Talon Street East, in Montreal) advises the public not to consume the products indicated in the table below, as they are likely to contain Salmonella. The products were offered for sale between May 30 and October 31, 2025. 8. Pistachios sold by the company Caf'Noisette (52 Gréber Boulevard, in Gatineau) may contain Salmonella. 9. Roi des noix inc. (9050 Charles-De La Tour Street, Local A, in Montreal) advises consumers not to consume loose pistachios due to Salmonella.
10. MAPAQ warned consumers not to consume pistachios sold by Distribution Mix Nuts Inc. due to Salmonella. 11. Pistachios were sold in bulk by the company Noix Orientale. The products subject to this warning were sold in bulk at room temperature, only at 2180 Curé-Labelle Boulevard, in Laval, Quebec. 12 Pistachio Green was recalled in Ontario due to Salmonella. The product was sold in a 5-lb bag. 13 Non-branded Dubi chocolate products recalled due to Salmonella. Sold t Juice Dudez locations in Ottawa, ON: (1) A-91 Richmond Rd.; (2) 1702 Bank St.; (3) 4471 Innes Rd.; (4) 115 Clarence St. The product was distributed in Ontario and sold at Juice Dudez locations from May 28 through September 04. The chocolate was sold in various sizes and was served by a clerk. 13. The company Caf'Noisette(52 Gréber Boulevard, in Gatineau) advises the public not to consume pistachio products, as it is likely to contain Salmonella. 14. Roi des noix inc.(9050 Charles-De La Tour Street, Local A, in Montreal), advises the public not to consume their loose pistachios, as it may contain Salmonella. 15. MAPAQ and the company Bassé Express (3631, boulevard des Sources, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Montreal), advises the public not to consume bulk pistachios as it is likely to contain Salmonella. 16. Fresh Nuts Inc., Sadi Nuts, Go Nuts, Siraz Foods recalled pistachio products due to Salmonella. 17. Raw pistachio kernels sold at Persian Baanou Supermarket, 220 6th St., New Westminster, BC, were recalled due to Salmonella.
