The FDA reported that SKS Copack of Cerritos, CA, recalled various specialty beverages and drink powders due to the potential contamination with Salmonella. The recall traces back to a contaminated nonfat dry milk powder ingredient supplied by California Dairies Inc. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recalled products were distributed in the states of CA, UT, ID, NY, NJ, AZ, PA, NC, TX, OH, LA, GA, FL, IL, OK, MA, WA, OR, WI, NV, VA, CT, TN, KY, & MN through cafes, restaurants, and direct delivery. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after SKS Copack received a notification from its supplier regarding a voluntary recall by California Dairies, Inc., for a certain lot of low-heat nonfat dry milk powder due to Salmonella contamination. According to California Dairies, the recall followed the identification of Salmonella-positive results from routine product testing. SKS Copack quarantined the remaining recalled ingredient lot, has ceased distribution of the recalled products, and is cooperating with the FDA as the investigation continues. @ https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/sks-copack-recalls-various-specialty-beverages-because-possible-health-risk
